I bet you know the feeling.
You want to teach your daughter she’s valued by God. To encourage her to embrace the unique and beautiful way God created her. You desire to equip her heart to rest fully in Him. For her to know her true identity in Christ.
I do too friend. I just didn’t know how to begin.
As I prayed, read scripture, studied my own girl’s hearts and researched the tween age group I began to see the depth and truth of Proverbs 4:23.
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
It all comes down to the heart. The heart must be our starting point.
As girl Moms, we need to fight for their hearts which are pulled by this world in every direction. I know this is a daily and often exhausting battle! But let me reassure you, there is no better tool than God’s word applied directly to what they are facing.
We can’t guarantee they will have a deep personal relationship with the Lord. We don’t know the paths they will choose. But we can set them on the best foundation always leading them to Him. We can build that foundation one heart at a time.
With God’s word, prayer, intentional heart building, and character training we can help prepare them for lifelong faith. One that will help them pursue their identity in Christ as they grow into young women.
What a privilege we have!
This is the whole reason for Girls Created to Shine. It’-s for all of our girls. First I started with my own. Then I had the privilege of teaching other tween girls (ages 8-12) through our local homeschool co-op.
Now, I’ve taken what I have prayed through, researched and taught from God’s word and am sharing it with you! My heart is to help Moms, Homeschoolers and Ministries equip tween girls everywhere to pursue their identity in Christ!
